Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Application Lead.
This role will be for an Application Lead for Clinical Systems CMC & Device Integration.

Essential Job Functions:The Application Lead serves as the primary owner and administrator of NYULH clinical systems. The successful candidate will help the director formulate and execute strategic vision for the growth and leverage of systems to identify and improve on operational challenges. The Application Lead selects, customizes, configures, installs and supports applications and systems within the portfolio. The Lead will understand the workflow processes of the assigned business areas, collect user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems. Core responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information systems within the portfolio. The team Lead receives general direction but operates and manages team and portfolio with autonomy. The team lead will manage day to day operations of the team, conducts performance evaluations, mentors, and coaches team members, and executes the onboarding of new employees. The lead reviews work in progress routinely with the director and leadership team to shape and define future strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitates internal and external meetings to document workflow, and record decisions, risks, issues, and action items; monitors completion of action items and risk mitigation plans
• Establishes and manages effective relationships with NYU site subject matter experts 
• Serves as the interface between onsite client managers, vendor partner, Project Managers
• Mentor/consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues.
• Receive inbound calls and document all issues accurately and appropriately
• Strong experience in working to educate Clinical and administrative staff around new systems, and provide application training for a variety of users to include physicians, nurses, and other associated staff around various healthcare systems and associated technologies.
• Provide Go-Live, implementation, and post implementation support 

• Frequent interaction with clinical staff and vendors to complete Root Cause analysis and auditing of PSI Events
• Provide Day to day assistance with improving workflows, application issues, hardware and software troubleshooting
• Selects appropriate work procedures or approaches to address technical challenges.
• Participate and/or lead complex project tasks across technology/ customer’s end user’s areas. Provide status of tasks inside/outside responsibility areas. 
• Customer Relationship Management: Influence with customers and partners on a broad range of technical and operational topics. Works in conjunction with the Task Order Project Manager to ensure all site Task Order deliverables are met. 
• Manages site implementation teams consisting of NYU employees and vendor partners; directs daily work activities/priorities
• Applies deep and broad technical background and knowledge of industry trends to operate several critical or high risk technology areas/customer groups.
• Proactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/technologies. 
• Trusted advisor to the customers and/or internal businesses/end users, and stakeholders
• Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements.
• Responsible for the design and development of IT systems

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Strong technical understanding and ability to engage at a detailed level with infrastructure, network, and server engineering teams
Excellent organization and project management skills
Experience in working with clinical applications and Epic EHR particularly for medical device integration
Experience with HL7 Message processing and interfaces
Leadership and people management
Product Ownership and Management
Highly self-motivated and outcome-oriented leader capable of driving urgency in a thoughtful way.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Computer Information systems, Clinical Nursing, or Engineering or Allied Fields. 3- 5 years in an IT role. 1- 2 years Supervisory or management experience. Ability to work independently, interact with, and maintain functional relationships with personnel at all levels within and outside of the organization. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, analytical, planning, multitasking, detail orientation, problem solving, and organizational skills. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel. Ability to work independently to handle multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines and expectations. Ability to collect and aggregate data, gather information and data systematically , track and trend, to establish facts and principles, and generate statistics.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree Healthcare Administration Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $149,264.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
